PURPOSE:To give luster comparable to that of a gold plated brass article by anodically oxidizing an Al alloy obtd. by adding a specified amount of Mg to high purity Al. CONSTITUTION:Desired external parts for a wrist watch are made of an Al alloy obtd. by adding 0.5-2.5wt% Mg to high purity Al of about 99.99% purity contg. <=0.01wt% Si and <=0.01wt% Fe. The external parts are anodically oxidized. |
