PURPOSE:To improve considerably the efficiency of copying operation by inputting information on the size and direction of a fed original to a controller, comparing it with form size, and making a necessary indication when it is decided that there is some trouble in copying. CONSTITUTION:A hole 6 and plural holes 6b are bored in a guide plate 5 at the same level with a platen 9 and sensors 7 and 8 are arranged facing those holes. The length of the fed original is detected by the sensor 7 and the width is detected by the sensor; and their outputs are inputted to a CPU and compared with the size of forms and the comparison result is displayed on a display part, thereby outputting a command for changing the direction of the original or changing the forms. Therefore, a copy of life-size or variable magnification suitable to the sizes of the original and forms is taken and the efficiency of the copying operation is improved greatly. |
