PURPOSE:To provide a joint sheet for gasket base material for use in chemical industry, motor vehicles, slips, various apparatuses, etc., comprising organic fiber, rubber material, rubber chemical(s) and wollastonite. CONSTITUTION:The objective joint sheet comprising (A) pref. 10-80wt.% of base fiber consisting of organic fiber [pref., (fibrillate) aromatic polyamide fiber]. (B) pref. 10-40wt.% of rubber material (e.g., nitrile rubber, styrene- butadiene rubber), (C) pref. 0.5-20wt.% of rubber chemical(s) (e.g., curing agent such as sulfur, curing accelerator such as thiazole-based compound) and (D) pref. 10-80wt.% of powdery wollastonite of pref. 200-300 mesh (pref. with an aspect ratio ca. 20-40). EFFECT:Good in recovery and creep characteristics in loading, also seldom sticking on cooling roll in sheet forming operation; even if stuck, being readily removable.
