PURPOSE:The titled resin having improved impact resistance, obtained by blending polyphenylene ether resin with a modified copolymer obtained by grafting an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (derivative) on a copolymerized ethylene- unsaturated carboxylic acid ester (derivative). CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. polyphenylene ether resin or containing further styrenic resin is blended with (B) 1-30pts.wt. modified copolymer obtained by grafting 0.05-10pts.wt. unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or its derivative (preferably maleic anhydride) on 100pts.wt. copolymer consisting of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and 1-18C alkyl alcohol and 95-50mol% ethylene and preferably (C) <=30pts.wt. copolymer consisting of a styrenic hydrocarbon polymer block and an olefinic elastomer block. |
