The invention relates to a surfboard (1) made of plastic which comprises a shell (2) which surrounds a core (3, 12) which can be made to adopt a desired shape without cutting. It is the aim of the invention to increase the stiffness of the surfboard and/or to reduce its weight. This is achieved in that arranged in the core (3, 12) is at least one reinforcing element (7) which is made of a material which can only be worked by means of cutting and has a higher specific gravity and compression strength than the actual core material (8). <IMAGE>
