METHOD AND DEVICE FOR UPSET WORKING METALLIC CIRCULAR PIPE

PURPOSE:To improve a production efficiency by moving a heating zone with the state of compressing a pipe in longitudinal direction and by moving with rotating or vibrating a core metal. CONSTITUTION:The clamp base 2 of a metallic circular pipe 1 is provided and the hydraulic cylinder 8 to give a compression force to upset base 5 is arranged. The cooling jacket 14 for preventing the deformation of the upset part and the cooling jacket 15 for preventing bucklings are provided on annular heating device 13. The circular pipe 1 is passed among the clamp base 2, heating device 13 and guide rollers 7, 7a and the tip thereof is supported and clamped by the aperture 5a of the upset base 5. The core metal 12 is then inserted into the pipe 1 by operating the cylinder 8 and a motor 19 is driven. In this case the upset is performed with moving by synchronizing the heating device 13 with the work speed. The production efficiency is improved due to the deformation buckling being prevented.
