PURPOSE:To obtain a display device with small-size and less consumed energy by providing a light emitting section, a scanning section and a detection section of movement of eyes and using the scanning section so as to scan the light from the light emitting section on the retina of the eyes in response to the movement of the eyes. CONSTITUTION:The titled device consists of the light emitting section, the scanning section 5, the detection section 6 for movement of eyes and a control section 7. The light lighted from the section 4 is scanned by the scanning section 5 and the image is formed on the retina 3 in response to the movement of the eyes detected by the detection section 6 and the control section 7 controls 4 and 5 according to the output of the detection section 6. Since no intermediate display plane exists, it is possible to approach the light emitting section 4 and the scanning section 5 to the retina 3 so as to obtain the display device such as eye glasses. Further, two display systems are provided and a different image is formed on the retina of the left/right eyes to as to express a stereoscpic images. |
