PURPOSE:To obtain a shadow mask having superior press formability, buckling resistance, and resonance resistance by providing an iron-base alloy sheet containing as principal components specific amounts of C, Si, Al, Mn, Ni and Cr with a number of pits and by carrying out annealing under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The iron-base alloy sheet consisting of, by weight, <=0.10% C, <=0.30% Si, <=0.30% Al, 0.1-1.0% Mn, 30-45% Ni, 2.0-10.0% Cr, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is pierced by etching to be provided with a number of pits, which is subjected to annealing at 750-1,100 deg.C for 3-60min in a nonoxidizing atmosphere. As the above iron-base alloy sheet, the one to which 0.01-1.0%, in total, of >=1 kind among Ti, Zr, Mo, Nb, B, V and Be is further added is used, if necessary. |
