PURPOSE:To improve considerably the heat radiation efficiency of radiant tubes arranged parallel in a heat treating furnace by placing radiant plates among the radiant tubes. CONSTITUTION:Radiant plates 22, 22' are placed among radiant tubes 20a, 20b arranged parallel in a heat treating furnace 10 in an extended state, and the plates 22, 22' are connected to the adjacent tubes 20a, 20b. Heat is transferred from the tubes 20a, 20b to the plates 22, 22' and radiated from the plates 22, 22'.
