<p>A probe for collecting embryos, particularly from mares, of the type consisting of a hollow needle (1) provided on its periphery, at a distance from its introduction end (11), with a small inflatable balloon (6) supplied with fluid via a capillary conduit (8), the operational portion of the hollow needle between this balloon and this end comprising at least one orifice (7) for recovering the embryo or embryos emerging into the inner channel (5) of the hollow needle. This probe is characterised in that the said hollow needle (1) comprises a series of orifices (7) in succession over the entire length of the operational portion "1" between its balloon (6) and its introduction end (11), offset angularly from one another in a helical arrangement in order to involve the entire periphery of this portion, each orifice (7) being of funnel shape to channel the embryos in the direction of the inner channel (5) of the hollow needle (1). <IMAGE></p> |
