PURPOSE:To automatically adjust a fine gap while set a desired gap with ease by reversely rotating an adjusting screw by a predetermined amount and for thereby setting the gap between the tip end of the adjusting screw provided on a support plate and the tip end of a rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:A support plate 7 for a capstan roller 3 is provided downwardly the tip end 6 of the roller 3. The support plate 7 is U-shaped more widely than the diameter of the roller 3, and fixedly mounted on a chassis 1. An adjusting screw 8 is provided on the extension part of the tip end 6 of the capstan roller 3 on the support plate 7, and a gap formed between the tip end 6 and the tip end of the adjusting screw 8 is set to a set value by the operation of the adjusting screw 8. With such arrangement, automatic adjustment of the gap can be assured to permit a desired gap to be set with ease.
