PURPOSE:To obtain images of good quality and to eliminate contamination in a machine by providing a seal member along the curvature of a developer conveying means so that it contacts the surface of a latent image carrier elastically. CONSTITUTION:The seal member 13 is placed on opening-side surfaces of both end parts of a developing roller 12 to eliminate the slanting the curving of a magnetic brush, and no toner sticks to a no-image area of a photosensitive body. Therefore, a transfer material is prevented from being stained. Further, the conveyance area of a developer by the developing roller is controlled to prevent the developer from falling and also obtain images of good quality. Further, the seal members 13 are made of an elastic body, so such as accident that the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 is damaged when a developing device is replaced is prevented. |
