PURPOSE:To obtain a nonaqueous secondary battery having high energy density, low self discharge, long cycle life, and good charge-discharge efficiency by using a substance obtained by oxidation polymerization of a specified 2,3- diaminophenazine family compound in a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:A substance obtained by oxidation polymerization of 2,3- diaminophenazine family compound shown in the general formula is used in a positive electrode. R' and R'' in the formula show an alkyl group, in which the number of hydrogen atom or carbon is 1-5. A nonaqueous solvent secondary battery using this positive electrode has high energy density, high charge- discharge efficiency, long cycle life, low self discharge, and flat discharge voltage. The battery is suitable for portable appliances, electric car, gasoline car and power storage since it is compact and light weight and has high energy density. |
