A transport device for use with a hitch is equipped with a gripping tool (19) operated by means of a wire (18) for handling posts or similar objects. The transport device consists of a frame (10) with two runners (12) that are longitudinal to the direction of tow. The front ends of the runners are tipped up and connected at one end to a horizontal, transverse component (14) above the side surfaces of the runners and at the rear ends via a higher, inverted U-shaped brace component (15). There is also a connector (16) that extends between the transverse components and the brace component. This connector forms an arch upward from the brace component (15) and is angled forward/downward toward the transverse component (14). A wire locking device (17) is mounted at the brace component (16).<IMAGE> |
