<p>A connection between at least two electrical cables with multiple conductors is protected against the penetration of water by a compressible deposit being formed around the connection, filling the deposit with a hardenable (curable) liquid sealing agent, compressing the deposit in order to force the liquid sealing agent to penetrate the gaps between the individual conductors of the bundle of conductors of the connections and the adjacent cable core and to keep the deposit under compression for at least a period of time sufficient for the sealing agent to harden.</p> |
