PURPOSE:To smoothly rotate an induction motor and to facilitate an integration into IC by forming a triangular wave digitally to apply a sinusoidal AC voltage having less waveform distortion to the motor. CONSTITUTION:The first counter 2 counts a clock pulse from an oscillator 1. The second counter 3 down counts the clock pulse. A mode converter 4 detects that the output of the second counter becomes 0 and converts the second counter to an up count. Comparators 51...5n compare the output of the second counter with a set data. A selector 6 sequentially selects the output of the comparator synchronously with a period signal, outputs it and varies the effective value of an AC voltage applied to the motor in a sinusoidal manner. |
