PURPOSE:To shorten the regenerating operation cycle of hygroscopic agent and secure the operational safety, by a method wherein the hygroscopic agent is heated and regenerated by removing moisture, and after that, when the hygroscopic agent is cooled, nitrogen is used for the cooling medium. CONSTITUTION:A moisture removing and regenerating system consisting of a vacuum pump 7 and a heater 4 for heating, and a hygroscopic shell cooling system consisting of a cylinder 11 for feeding cooling medium, a connecting pipe 16, and a throttling device 15, are provided for a moisture removing shell 2 for removing water content from hydrogen gas generated after a hydrogen cooled rotary electric machine 1 is cooled. When hygroscopic agent 3 in the moisture removing shell 2 is reactivated, then first, the moisture removing shell 2 inside is kept in a vacuum state and is heated by the heater 4, and hygroscopic agent 3 is regenerated. After that, nitrogen gas is introduced into the moisture removing shell 2 through the cylinder 11, and the hygroscopic agent 3 is contrived to be cooled, and safety is increased more in this case considering the case for using air for cooling medium, and the apparatus can be automatized. |
