PURPOSE:To achieve a quick stabilization of the output at the changeover of gas from the high concentration to the low concentration of water contained therein, by incorporating a temperature sensor to heat it temporarily at the changeover of the gas to be introduced into a moisture measuring cell with a gas introduction port and a gas exhaust port. CONSTITUTION:In a moisture measuring cell 1 with a gas introduction port 12 and a gas exhaust port 13 which contains a humidity sensor 2 produced by forming a moisture-sensitive film 22 made of a high polymer electrolyte on one side of a disc-like piezo-electric element plate 21 through a gold electrode 23, a heating section 3 is attached to heat the sensor 2 temporarily at the changeover of the gas to be introduced into the cell 1. The heating section 3 is used mainly for the heating source of the sensor 2 temporarily at the changeover of the gas to be introduced into the cell 1. The heating facilitates the removal of not only moisture adsorbed on the surface of the moisture-sensitive film 22 but also that adsorbed deep into the surface layer thereof due to previously introduced gas to enable quick stabilization of the output thereby improving the response speed significantly. |
