PURPOSE:To obtain a developer stable in triboelectrification amt., sharp and uniform in the distribution of said amt., and controllable to the triboelectrification amt. suitable to the development system to be adopted by incorporating a binder resin, a colorant, and an optionally substd. o- phenylenediamine. CONSTITUTION:The toner contains a binder resin, a colorant, and one of dicyclohexylamine nitrites represented by the formula shown on the right in which each of R and R' is H, alkyl, aryl, halogen, or nitro, and each may be same or different. This compd. is a good triboelectrifiability controller stable against heat and the lapse of time, small in hygroscopicity, and capable of giving a developer superior in electrophotographic characteristics. The use of this electrostatic charge image developing toner permits triboelectrification amt. among toner particles, between the toner and a carrier, and in the case of using one-component type developer, between the toner and the toner holder, such as a sleeve, to be stabilized, to be made sharp and uniform in its distribution, and to be controlled to a triboelectrification amt. suitable to the developing system to be adopted. |
