PURPOSE:To releave the burden of the operator of a POS terminal equipment by providing a mode which simultaneously displays a sales registrating picture and a settlement picture after dividing single picture in addition to modes which independently displays the sales registrating picture and the settlement picture. CONSTITUTION:The POS terminal is set so that in ordinary times, the sales registrating picture and the settlement picture will be independently displayed by the operation of a display mode designation switch 11. Whichever of the two pictures is to be displayed is selected by operator's keyboard operation. When the store is crouded with customers and the change-over of both the pictures has come to be performed frequency, the display mode designation switch 11 is operated by using the mode for displaying the sales registrating picture and the settlement picture simultaneously. In such a case, when the first-in sales record is generated, the sales registration data are written in the registration area 131 of a memory 13, and at the same time, said sales registration data are written in the first half part of a area of a display picture buffer 132, and sales registration contents are displayed on the upper half of the display. A similar thing is performed for the settlement. |
