PURPOSE:To converting a combination weighing apparatus into a general-purpose machine, by connecting a plurality of subcomputers to a main computer to have respective computers holding processing functions in dispersion. CONSTITUTION:The number N of calculators 1 are divided into a plurality of groups and a plurality of subcomputers B1-Bn are arranged for respective groups. The subcomputers B1-Bn are connected to the main computer A through a communication circuit. The main computer A mainly performs combined computation of weight data of a plurality of calculators 1 to select the calculator 1 optimal in the combination for the target weight. The subcomputers B1-Bn performs a supplying of article and/or an auxiliary operational control such as discharge control for the respective calculators 1. In this manner, a plurality of computers B1-Bn are so arranged to shear proper processing functions to improve the freedom for the alteration of specifications and designs and the like thereby converting the combination weighing apparatus into a general-purpose machine. This enables the manufacture of an inexpensive combination weighing apparatus to adapt itself to objects to be measured of all discriptions.
