PURPOSE:To prevent displacement in welding by forming a recessed and projecting fitting part between a middle terminal and a partition of container, and positioning the welding side of the middle terminal to a through hole of the partition. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped projection 11 is concentrically formed with a through hole 10 on both sides of a partition 6 which partitions cells C1 and C2. A circular recess 12 is formed on the surfaces 5a, 9a, which are in contact with the apartition 6, of middle terminals 5, 9. The projection 11 and the recess 12 are fitted and positioned so that the center of welding surface of the middle terminals 5, 9 coincides with the center of the through hole 10. Welding electrodes 13, 14 are placed in the center of welding surface of the middle terminals 5, 9, and current is supplied between the electrodes with pressure applied to weld lead or lead alloy of terminals 5, 9 by resistance heating. Melted metal is made to flow into the through hole 10 to connect terminals 5 and 9. |
