<p>Benzo¨ADf¨BDquinoline derivatives represented by general formula (I), (wherein R?1 and R2¿ may be the same or different, and each represents hydrogen or 1-4C alkyl, R?3 and R4¿ may be the same or different, and each represents hydrogen, halogen, nitro, amino, hydroxy, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, or 2-5C alkanoyloxy, and R5 represents hydroxyimino, amino, 1-4C alkylamino, alicyclic alkylamino, aralkylamino, acylamino, 1-4C alkoxycarbonylamino, 1-4C alkanesulfonylamino, 3-(1-4C alkyl) ureido, 3-(1-4C alkyl)thioureido or 1-4C alkylaminosulfonylamino and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, process for their preparation, and medicinal compositions containing them. These compounds have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects, and are useful as non-steroidal basic analgesic and anti-inflammatory agents with no narcotic effect.</p> |
