PURPOSE:To prepare a still picture with the noise thrusting-in system by transferring a magnetic tape until an on-track position pulse and a reference pulse become closer mutually and stopping its transferring just when they become close. CONSTITUTION:The generating position of the on-track position pulse Po is removed to the center of the H.SW signal while B1 and A2 are in the H.SW cycle, because the magnetic tape is slightly transferred by the pulse signal c of A1 during H.SW cycle. As the pulse signal b is also not in the high level cycle of the signal e, the signal c becomes high level for a constant duration and the tape is furthermore transferred and accordingly the generating position of thew track position pulse Po is removed. On the other hand, because the cycle of A3 becomes coincident with the high level cycle of the pulse signal b and the signal e, the signal c remains in a low level and the magnetic tape is not transferred. The generating position of the on-track position pulse Po in the H.SW signal cycle, which is indicated by A3, is the desired position and, at this time the noise becomes a still picture image which is thrusted into both sides and stabilizes in this A3 duration.
