PURPOSE:To true up both ends of paper with pressing force suitable for thickness of the paper as well as to make stable paper feeding performable, by setting force of a movable side plate acting on an end face of the paper down to such force as corresponding to a variation in the thickness of the paper. CONSTITUTION:In a coil spring 8, its one end is attached to a movable side plate 7 and the other end is attached to a link 9 being rotatably attached to a movable bottom plate 2. Another end of the link 9 comes into contact with a paper cassette case 1 and is made to be slidable in design. The link 9 rotates with vertical movements of the movable bottom plate 2 and adjusts tension of the coil spring 8. And, the movable side plate 7 secures pressing force to be given to an edge of paper, corresponding to thickness of the paper housed on the movable bottom plate 2. With this pressing force, both ends of the paper can be trued up so that stable paper feeding is always performable.
