PURPOSE:To make uniform the flow rate of a cooling medium passing through a winding block and thereby to prevent the deterioraton of an insulating member by a construction wherein an outlet enabling the outflow of the cooling medium outside an outer insulating tube is provided in a portion of the side wall of the outer insulating tube which faces the uppermost winding block. CONSTITUTION:Disk windings 3a-3d, which are unit windings, are superposed in layers in the axial direction between an inner insulating tube 1 and an outer insulaing tube 2, so as to constitute a winding block 4, and a guide plate, such as a plate denoted by 5c, for instance, is provided between the side walls of the insulating tubes 1 and 2, so as to section the block 4. Moreoer, horizontal ducts 6a-6e are provided between the adjacent ones of the disk windings 3a-3d respectively, while vertical ducts 7 and 8 are formed between the insulating tube 1 and the windings 3a-3d and between these windings and the insulating tube 2. In this construction, an outlet 14 through which an insulating oil, that is, a cooling medium, flows out of the tube 2 is provided in a portion of the side wall of the tube 2 which faces the uppermost winding block 4, and the insulating oil flowing into the block 4 through a passing hole 10 is made to flow in parallel through the ducts 6a-6e and discharged from the outlet 14 directly outside the tube 2. |
