PURPOSE:To make it possible to simultaneously record the same line to the same positions of the front and back surfaces of recording paper, by making it possible to move one set of thermal heads in synchronous relation to each other so as to held recording paper between both heads. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 12 is set between front and back side thermal heads 6, 10 by utilizing a paper presser 13 and, succeedingly, a page feed counter is reset and recording or control data is subsequently received in a predetermined data form from the interior. It is judged whether the page feed counter is zero, that is, the surface data of the recording paper 12 is being received. If said data is during reception, it is judged whether the received data is a page feed control code and, when said data is the page feed control code, the value of a page feed counter is set to +1. When said data is not the page feed control code, data to be recorded on the surface side of the recording paper is registered in a surface page buffer memory. By this method, two thermal heads are moved along the front and back surfaces of the recording paper in synchronous relation to each other and the recording data present in the buffer memory can be recorded and, therefore, recording can be performed to the same positions of front and back surfaces without shift. |
