PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having excellent reinforcing effect, extrudability and resistance to breakage and fatigue, by dispersing fine acicular syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene in rubber. CONSTITUTION:A vulcanizable rubber compsn. is obtd. by incorporating 1-50wt% acicular syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene (hereinafter referred to as 1,2-PBD) having the max. diameter of 1mu or below and an average diameter of 0.05mu or below in rubber. The rubber compsn. contg. said 1,2-PBD exhibits an excellent reinforcing effect without using carbon black or silica, has a low specific gravity and exhibits low heat generation according to goodrich flexometry and hence it is suitable for use as a material for lavor-saving tire. The compsn. is very superior in physical properties to conventional bright-color rubber compsn. and hence it becomes possible to use a bright-color rubber compsn. in a field requiring high strength.
