<p>Blocks or bricks are manufd. of slag from tungsten making furnace. It has two separate compn. for the body and front surface. The body compn. comprises the slag of 100-325 mesh 70-80%, quicklime 10-20%, and cement 5-10%. The front surface compn. comprises the slag of 100- 325 mesh 70-75%, quicklime 10-12%, cement 15-20%, and inorg. pigment 1-1.5%. The mixt. of body compn.is preheated by steam at 90≰C for 2-3 hrs. in a hydration bath. The body compn. and the front surface compn. are molded in a variant machine under 300-400 Kg/cm2 at 300- 350≰C. The molded blocks or bricks are steamed under 10-15 Kg/cm2 for 5-8 hrs in an auto-clave. The product has high solidity and low degree of absorption.</p> |
