PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of heat pipe and permit to recognize that the heat pipe is being used under dangerous temperature by burying a low melting point metal into the outer peripheral surface of a sealed vessel constituting the heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:One part of the outer peripheral surface of the vessel 6 for the heat pipe 5 is provided with a thin section 7 and the low melting point metal 8 is buried into the thin section 7. When the heat pipe 5, which uses water as dangerous temperature operating liquid, is used under about 240 deg.C, heat of heated steam in the vessel 6 is transferred to the low melting point metal through the thin section 7. In case the low melting point metal 8 is constituted of solder or the like, which is softened and molten at a temperature lower than 240 deg.C, the low melting point metal 8 deforms or drops before the steam pressure in the vessel 6 is increased excessively, therefore, leakage of the heat pipe 5 will never be caused while it may be recognized that the heat pipe 5 is being used at the dangerous temperature.
