PURPOSE:To enable a video signal that represents the enlarged picture of a main object to record efficiently on a recording medium by adjusting the optical system of an image pickup means, also adjusting light quantity with interlocking the change of the enlargement magnification of the optical system and specifying the photographing area of a photographic picture that is recorded on the image pickup object. CONSTITUTION:A motor 86 is rotated and driven with interlocking a trimming operation and a lens barrel 80 of a zoom mechanism 50B is moved according to an indicated magnification. On the other hand, a control signal Df to drive an ND filter 20 is outputted from a controller 120 to a filter motor 26 so as to fix incident light energy to an image pickup part 50 based upon the detecting output that represents the density of a negative film from negative density detecting elements 40R and 40L and the incident light quantity is adjusted. Next, by the key operation of a keyboard 110 by an operator, a driving signal is outputted to an opening/driving amplifier and a shutter 46 is opened. As the result, a photographic picture that is trimmed in the frame on a negative film 30 is displayed on a monitor television 150.
