PURPOSE:To obtain swine elastase II effectively, by subjecting a DNA chain having a base sequence to code polypeptide of a specific amino acid sequence to formation of plasmid, transformation of bacterium, and its culture process. CONSTITUTION:A DNA chain having a base sequence to code polypeptide having an amino acid sequence selected from a group of sequences from C to D, from B to D, and from A to D of the formulas I and II is prepared, the DNA chain is subjected to a process consisting of (i) formation of a plasmid containing the DNA chain in a state capable of developing genetic information, (ii) transformation of bacterium with the plasmid, and (iii) cultivation of the prepared transformant, and swine elastase II is produced in the culture mixture. |
