PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium having an excellent calendering property by using a binder consisting of a polyol contg. a high molecular polyol and a low molecular polyol in a specified ratio and contg. a polyurethane resin from an org. polyisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:A binder is composed of 200-2,000 equivalents of a high molecular polyol A1 contg. >=50wt% polytetramethylene glycol a1 or the polytetramethylene glycol a1 and a polycaprolactone polyol a1' (where the content of a1' in A1 is regulated to 50wt%), a polyol A consisting of a low molecular polyol A2 contg. the glycol a2 of monohydroxymonocarboxylic acid and a polyurethane resin C from an org. polyisocyanate B. Consequently, an excellent calendering property can be obtained by using the binder and the productivity is also improved.
