PURPOSE:To suppress and prevent the adhesion of slime or scale and the corrosive damage of an apparatus contacting with water, by coating the surface of the apparatus with a liquid resin composed of an agent for inactivating metal surface, an agent for controlling algae, a mildew-proofing agent, a corrosion-proofing agent, a sterilizing assistant and a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective treatment is achieved by coating the surface of an apparatus contacting with water, with a resin liquid consisting of (A) an agent for inactivating a metal surface (e.g. nitrotriacetic acid, etc.), (B) an algae-controlling agent (e.g. benzalkonium chloride, etc.), (C) a mildew- proofing agent (e.g. 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone-4-C, etc.), (D) a corrosion- proofing agent (e.g. sym-diethylthiourea, etc.), (E) a sterilizing assistant [e.g. N'-(dichlorofluoromethylthio)-N,N-dimethyl-N'-phenylsulfami-de, etc.] and (F) a synthetic resin (e.g. furfural resin, etc.).
