PURPOSE:To reduce intake noise over a wide range from low frequency to high one by connecting a branch pipe for reducing noise in the high frequency range and a resonator chamber for reducing noise in the low frequency range on the way of an intake pipe. CONSTITUTION:An intake system of an internal combustion engine for a vehicle is constituted from an intake manifold 2 connected to an engine body 1, air cleaner 3 and intake pipe 4 connected in the order mentioned. A resonator chamber 6 for reducing noise in a low frequency range is connected to the lower portion of a first rectangular pipe 8 of the intake pipe 4. A branch pipe 5 for reducing noise in a high frequency range is connected to the bend of a connecting pipe 9 and closed on the end, extending downward while bending to avoid the contact with other apparatus from the portion contacting the connecting pipe 9. |
