PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution and to facilitate the easy production of the titled device with reduction of the cost, by binding plural sheets into a book form together with a light transmitting part provided to each sheet and a light transmitting/receiving means to obtain a signal showing a selected part in the sheet book. CONSTITUTION:Plural sheets of ground paper are bound into a book form by means of a binding member 52 and can be freely opened and closed. A through hole 54 is drilled into each paper 51 for selection of pages together with through holes 53 for selection of areas provided at the appropriate areas of sections A-F respectively. The back cover 55 of the sheet book contains a projector 57 and a photodetector 58 set on a proper substrate 56 in response to said holes 53. When the upper side of the hole 53 is covered with a finger 59, the light of the projector 57 is reflected by the finger 59 and received by the photodetector 58. When the hole 53 in a section A, for example, is covered with a finger, etc., the corresponding photodetector 58 is turned on. Thus a signal showing that the section A is selected is obtained. In the same way, the signals showing specific sections of specific pages can be obtained from projectors/photodetectors 61-1-61-5 respectively.
