PURPOSE:To reduce a device at its size and weight and to detect the bending motion of a bending part precisely by connecting a bend sensor to both the ends of the bending part and detecting the state of the bending part on the basis of current supply from one electrode to the other. CONSTITUTION:The bend sensor 3 in the bend detector is constituted of a pressing conductive rubber 4 part, the electrodes 5 arranged through the rubber 4, lead wires 6 connected to the electrodes 5, and a casing 7 made of plastic or the like. The sensor 3 is connected to the base part of a finger of a jogging shoe 1 and the outer surface of the leading end of a tongue 2, a small counter 8 is arranged correspondingly to the sensor 3 and the lead wires 6 are connected to the counter 8. The current supply state from one electrode 5 to the other 5 is detected by the counter 8. Thus, the bend detector can be reduced at its size and weight and can be applied to bending motion detectors for various industrial instruments.
