<p>PURPOSE:To detect the deterioration of mill rigidity during the continuous rolling of one lot, by obtaining estimated outlet-side sheet thickness, considered as real sheet-thickness by the learning computation method based on an optimization technique, and inspecting the variation of roll-gap offset quantity by using this value. CONSTITUTION:The outlet-side estimated sheet-thicknesses at all the stands are computed in series by the statistical learning computation based on the results of rolling from the outlet-side gauge-meter sheet thickness of each stand. This value is considered as the true thickness. The roll-gap offset quantity of each stand is obtained from the difference between the outlet-side gauge-meter sheet thickness and the outlet-side estimated sheet thickness. By observing the variation of this roll-gap offset quantity, the change of mill rigidity can be surely can easily detected even during continuous rolling.</p> |
