PURPOSE:A milk cosmetic that contains a powder of porous cellulose particles, thus showing light spreadability, non-greasiness and good moist feeling, when used. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic milk contains 0.1-20wt% of a powder of porous cellulose particles with an average diameter of 3-50mum and up to 100mum. When the particle sizes are in the above-stated range, the sreadability of the cosmetic is improved without coarse feeling to skins. The sherical cellulose particles are prepared by suspending a cuprammonia solution of cellulose in an organic solvent such as benzene, then treating the resultant spherical particles with an acid to regenerate cellulose. The resultant cosmetic does not allow the user to feed the existence of the coating films thereof and has no adverse effect on its storage stability. |
