PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material high in the max. density and superior in sharpness, even if a small amt. of coupler is used, by incorporating a low-mol. wt. coupler, a gelatin reacted with a specified compd., and a hardner having an activated vinyl group in a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material is prepared by incorporating in the silver halide emultion layer a yellow coupler having a low mol. wt. of 250-450 and contg. no group easily soluble in alkali, such as COOH or SO3H, embodied by formula I, and a gelatin prereacted with an acryloyl group of a part of N, N', N''-trisacryloyl-1, 3, 5-hexahydrotriazine, and the hardener having an activated vivyl group embodied by formula II, thus permitting an amt. of gelatin to be reduced and the layer to be thinned by use of this coupler and the obtained photosensitive material to be enhanced in storage stability. |
