PURPOSE:A novel type of adhesive tape that is made by forming an adhesive layer on a magnetic base which has magnetism and elasticity, thus being suitable for use in setting metallic laces on car bodies or the like, because it has high adhesion and can absorb external impacts. CONSTITUTION:Polyolefin polyol of low molecular weight is mixed with a softening agent such as paraffinic process oil, MDI, a catalyst (tin octylate) and a magnetic substance such as barium ferrite and they are kneaded to form a magnetic composition. The composition is extruded into an elastic and magnetic base 5. The resultant base 5 is coated with an adhesive on one or both surfaces 6, 7 to give the objective adhesive tape.
