To operate a piezoceramic electroacoustic transducer on a dual push-pull transistor output stage switched with a squarewave voltage, it is proposed to keep the two outputs of the dual push-pull output stage at approximately the same potential in each case before the switching times of the voltage across the transducer, so that the transducer capacitance is in each case discharged between the switching.
