The invention relates to an elastic bearing for a tiltable driver's cab of a lorry with a housing (5) with receptacle eye (6) which is attached to the chassis frame of the lorry and lies axially transversely with respect to the vehicle axle. Central metal components (7, 8) which are connected to the housing (5) via rubber elements (25) extend into the housing. The rubber/metal adhesive faces of these rubber elements (25) are located in the direction of the vehicle axle and in approximate vertical alignment so that the rubber elements are loaded in shear in the case of vertical spring compression and loaded in tension or compression in the case of transverse deflections. The metal parts (7, 8) bear rubber stop buffers (28, 29) in the region of the receptacle eye both in the vertical direction, downwards and upwards, and in the horizontal direction, in and counter to the direction of travel. The rubber elements (25) are configured in such a way that in the case when they are loaded statically with the driver's cab, the rubber stop buffers (28, 29) do not rest against the inside of the receptacle eye (stop face 30) but, rather, intermediate spaces (31, 32) are formed. Therefore, the bearing in the vertical direction and in the direction of travel is relatively soft due to the shear stressing of the rubber elements (25) until the rubber stop buffers (28, 29) come into contact with the stop face (30), which leads to a more rigid bearing and limiting of deflection. <IMAGE>
