PURPOSE:To compensate deterioration in brake force during failure in operation, by a method wherein hydraulic control is released in a way that, when a front wheel system is brought into failure in operation, a stepped piston is limited to a moving amount, by means of which shut off of a liquid passage is impossible, with the aid of a valve means. CONSTITUTION:A liquid passage 10, through which an inlet chamber 8 communicated with a port 2b is connected to an outlet chamber 9 communicated with a port 2c, is formed on the right side of a stepped piston 4 incoporating a control piston 3, and a valve means, formed with a poppet valve 11 and a valve seat 12, is mounted in the liquid passage 10. The valve means secures the valve seat 12 to the control piston 3 side, the forward end of the poppet valve 11 supported by a valve spring is fitted in the valve seat 12, and a slit groove 13, serving to communicate the liquid passage 10 to the outlet chamber 9, is formed in the end part of the stepped piston 4 with which the forward end of the poppet valve body 11 is brought into contact. |
