In particular in blind shafts, the guidance of the cages is improved and a more or less smooth operation is made possible by virtue of the fact that guide rails in the form of IPB rails and guide parts in the form of guide and supporting rollers rolling on the web or on the inner surfaces of the flanks of the IPB rails are used as guide devices. The guide rollers are here arranged at a distance from one another and are held just like the supporting rollers via a bearer connected to the cage in a spring-mounted manner. In this way, a "soft" guide for the cage is obtained which requires less maintenance while providing reliable guidance.
