PURPOSE:To synchronize simultaneously stations (ST) operated asynchronously together by including a sender station ST identifier (e.g., address) to a fault notice frame, stopping the transmission of the own ST when it receives a fault notice frame in the said identifier larger than the identifier of the own ST and relaying the said received fault notice frame. CONSTITUTION:An ST detecting a fault sends a fault generation notice frame (FR1) to a ring of both systems. The identifier (SA14) of the received FR1 and the identifier (own ST address) of the own ST are compared, and when the received identifier is larger than the own identifier, the transmission of the FR1 is stopped and the system enters the state of a fault countermeasure control start command frame (FR2) waiting. When the FR1 having the identifier equal to the own identifier is received, the FR2 is sent to both system rings. The other STs starts fault countermeasure by receiving the FR2.
