PURPOSE:To make a suction flow velocity uniform as well as to improve suction efficiency ever so better, by setting up a flexible controlling member at the upstream side of a suction port along the longitudinal direction of a suction passage, while pressing optionally the central part with the controlling member for deformation. CONSTITUTION:A flexible controlling member 6a extending along the longitudinal direction of a suction passage is installed in an auxiliary passage 3b at the upstream side of a suction port 3a. Both ends in the longitudinal direction of the member sticks fast to a suction passage wall, and at the intermediate part, there is provided with a projection 10 to be pressed by a spring 13. A pressing position of this projection 10 is adjusted with a motor to be driven by a control unit 16 via a wire. When an engine is in a slow speed, it pressed the member 6a so as to make the suction passage narrower but at the time of a high speed, it retracts the member 6a so as to make it wider. Both ends in the longitudinal direction of the member 6a sticks fast to an inner surface of the suction passage, and since the suction passage is smoothly deformed, there is no turbulent flow at all. |
