PURPOSE:To increase the stocked quantity of extruded materials and to sharply reduce facilities, by respectively installing multistage stocking arms and multistage elevating arms to the inlet and outlet sides under a condition where they can make advancing and retreating motions and ascending and descending motions. CONSTITUTION:Extruded materials 31 are stocked on multistage stocking arms 27 at the inlet side and, at the same time, the extruded materials 31 on each stocking arm 27 are successively shifted upward one step by one step by combining the advancing and retreating motions of the arms 27 and advancing and retreating motions and ascending and descending motions of multistage elevating arms 29. The extruded material on the uppermost stocking arm 27 at the inlet side is shifted to a uppermost stocking arm 28 at the outlet side by means of a shifting means 65. At the outlet side, on the contrary, the extruded materials 31 are successively shifted downward one step by one step. Therefore, the area required for installing facilities can be reduced and the stocked quantity of extruded materials can be increased and, in addition, a sufficient cooling effect can be obtained.
