PURPOSE:To form easily the flange part having bigger thickness with a simple device by adding the load in the right angles direction with the thickness of a plate material on the end part of the plate and by forming a flange part by enlarging the thickness of the end part. CONSTITUTION:The processing device to form the flange part 14 expanding to the end part of the leg part 12 of a plate material is composed of the plural dies 18, 20 which are movable from the preforming position P upto the main forming position M and to pinch the leg part 12 of the plate, the reserve holder 40 to have the preforming recessed part 48 of gimlet shape corresponding to the plate material 26 projected from the dies 18, 20 which are in the state of close contact at the reforming position P, the preforming punch 50 to preform into the preforming recessed part 48 with pressing in the right angles direction of the thickness the end part of the plate 26 projecting from the dies 18, 20 at the preforming position P, the main forming holder 56 to have the enlarged head part forming recessed part 58 corresponding to the preforming part 10A projected from the dies 18, 20 at the main forming position M and the holder 56 to form to the enlarged head part forming recessed part 58 with pressing in the right angles direction of the thickness the preforming part 10A projected from the dies 18, 20 at the main forming position M.
