PURPOSE:To obtain recording of stable density on a thermal recording medium by means of proper power amounts even when recording voltage is varied by providing a voltage-power amount converter for a recording power amount controller. CONSTITUTION:In an analog/digital converter 13, voltage RV is sampled and sent out in the form of voltage ADV1. In a latch circuit 21, the voltage ADV1 is latched and voltage ADV2 delayed by one clock is sent out. The voltages ADV1 and ADV2 are put in the converter 15a, where the voltage are converted into two points of power A biased by T-period in linear data previously stored and power amounts Pt1, Pt2,... Prn are calculated. An accumulator 15b sends out power amount SIGMAPt, a comparator 17 compares the power amount SIGMAPt and power amount W. RS flip-flop 18 is reset to bring about trailing of recording pulse PW. In this way, a power amount corresponding to preset power amount W is supplied to a heating resistor element 11 by the drive circuit 12, and a given density of recording is made on a thermal recording medium. |
